Hiking holiday in Zell am See

Piesendorf is surrounded by stunning natural scenery with numerous hiking trails leading into the higher reaches of the mountains. It lies in the heart of the largest nature park in the Alps, the Hohe Tauern National Park. Beautiful hiking routes start right from the village. There are also many trails nearby suitable for both experienced and novice hikers. Several mountain lifts in Zell am See and Kaprun are open. You can hike up the Maiskogel in Kaprun and take the lift down, or vice versa. Zell am See-Kaprun, with its Pinzgau Grass Mountains and the Hohe Tauern range, is a paradise for hiking and mountaineering: Around 400 kilometers of well-marked trails lead from the valley floor up to the eternal ice of the three 3,000-meter peaks.

From mid-May to mid-September, you can also join a guided hike on Tuesdays and Thursdays. With the special Fun+ card, you can participate for €5 per person, including taxi transfer (the regular price is €15 per person). You must register for these hikes one day in advance with us or the tourist office.

Every Wednesday, a spice walk is organized for the whole family. During the walk, herbs are collected and then used to make their own herbal salve or tincture.
