Walpurgis night at castle Kaprun

30-04-2024 20:00

Walpurgis Night
On Walpurgis Night, the witches ride their broomsticks through the mysterious night. At Beltane, fires are lit as a symbol of the new life of nature, the new light but also of love and passion. It is time to let the old burn in the fire and call forth the new. Our moon witches dance around the fire in the castle courtyard and celebrate the new beginning of the warm season and fertility.

Companions of the Forest
The three musicians, all of whom are known from well-known medieval bands, will provide sounds from the other world at the beginning, after the witches and during the break. Let yourself be surprised.

LIVE: The Dullahans
The band already put the visitors in a great mood and into an absolute dance ecstasy at Walpurgis Night in the Knights' Hall. With their Irish Celtic Outlaw Folk, The Dullahans manage to conjure up images of Ireland that couldn't be more different. Love, exuberance and excess, but also hate, suffering and deprivation are the content of her songs. With a mixture of traditional and modern Irish folk gigs, the band lures even the most die-hard hip-hop fans out from behind the stove in an emergency and gets them dancing along. The traditional line-up with accordion, tin whistle and banjo provides a welcome change and a special pub feeling with typical drinking songs. It is an abduction into the colorful world of Ireland. The name of the band comes from the mythology of the green island: “The five musicians from Baden Germany are by no means headless like Dullahans. With that in mind: Slainte Folks! http://thedullahans.com/
