Family Holiday - Adventure for Kids and Teens

If your children enjoy their holiday, your holiday will be successful as well. Our house is very suitable for families with growing children of all ages. Our garden offers various playground equipment for children, such as a playhouse with climbing wall and slide, a professional trampoline with four jumping sections inclusive of safety net and a bird’s nest swing. For sports enthusiasts there is a table-tennis table, a soccer field, badminton, volleyball and a basket. For spectators there is a cosy picnic table and various sunbeds.

For a Summer holiday, the destination Zell am See-Kaprun is less known, which is a pity. Did you for example know, that this is a fantastic location for families with children in Summer as well? The fairytale location of the two villages at the Zeller See Lake, surrounded by the majestic mountain peaks, make the destination a holiday- and play paradise especially for sporty families looking for adventure and action. What does the surrounding area of Zell am See offer?

Extensive kids animation program
Activities are organized from May to October for kids in the age of 5-16. You will definitely don’t get bored in this region. Many different activities are offered.

Family walk with lamas
An afternoon walk in Kaprun with llama’s accompanied by a real llama connoisseur. The children are allowed to accompany and take care of their llama. The llamas carry the luggage, the children may not sit on the llamas.
A lovely walk through the nature of Kaprun and the children only have 1 assignment: the llamas are not allowed to eat along the way. Along the way we will make a stop and the children may search for gold. The walk costs approx. 55 Euro for the entire family.

Mystical forest hiking experience for the entire family
Easy adventure hiking trail with great views: ideal for families.
Pristine nature and wonderful views across the mountain world in combination with exciting activity stations: that is the "Mystic Forest" theme hiking trail on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See-Kaprun. Mystical stories and legends can be experienced and Pinzgau myths can be explored at various stations. The final highlight is the "white deer" adventure playground.

Schmidolin's baptism of fire
Who says hiking is boring? Being out and about on the Schmittenhöhe and joining Schmidolin is surely anything but boring. Tricky tasks, adventurous dares and questions, to which the answer is often not easy to find, are waiting on Schmidolin's way through the forest. Schmidolin is still too young to spit fire and needs the children's help. Note all answers and tasks in the adventure passport and become Schmidolin's best friends. If you want to find the way to Schmidolin, best take the mountain railway to the Areit. The trail there starts in the forest and use of the trail is included in the cable car ticket.

Tobogganing action all year round
Toboggan fun can be enjoyed at the Alpine Coaster and the Maisiflitzer all year round. You can experience the force of gravity on the Maisiflitzer throughout the year when elsewhere tobogganing is not on the agenda during the summer months. The Alpine Coaster - more a roller-coaster than a toboggan run - is located on the slopes of the Maiskogel in Kaprun. Start and finish of the run is the Schaufelberg car park. The Kaprun Family & Leisure Park can also be found there. The lift takes you uphill to the start and then it's downhill into the valley across bridges, waves, through banked curves and tilted spins like on a rollercoaster. Whether rain or sunshine, cold in the winter or heat in the summer - the Maisiflitzer in Kaprun is always open. The summer toboggan run at the Biberg in Saalfelden welcomes guests exclusively in summer. With a length of 1.600 metres and 63 curves, this is great summer fun for the entire family.

Fun and snow at the glacier in 3.000 metres above sea level. Whether snowball fight, hilarious sliding fun across gentle snow slopes, adventurous hiking tours on the secured glacier trail or chilling out on sun loungers at the glacier plateau – the Ice Arena at the glacier of the Kitzsteinhorn offers summer snow fun for families and nature lovers.

Using the top-modern cable cars of the Kitzsteinhorn, the Ice Arena is easily accessible for adventurers of all ages during the summer months. Race across the white glacier slope on slide sheets and toboggans, which can be hired free of charge on site, and take the magic carpet for a comfortable return to the start. Other guests swim in the crystal-clear Lake Zell in the valley while you enjoy the Ice Arena with snowball fights, building snowmen or chilling out on loungers during a relaxing break.

"As the night was born" - forest ghost train

We create the night magic forest with mysterious lights, wild shapes and eerie noises and melodies.We grill sausages at the camp fire. At 9 p.m. all (courageous) parents, brothers and sisters and friends are invited to enter the forest ghost train. An unforgettable adventure for the whole family.

Trout fishing in Rauris
Super nice to do with your children. You can see the trout swimming, you can rent a fishing rod with food for 5 Euro. You try to catch as much trout as possible and afterwards you are obliged to buy and take them with you. You will pay approx. 14 Euro per kilo. The intestines are removed on location and you can prepare the fish at home.
You can also have the caught fish prepared in the restaurant on site. There is guidance at the fish pond. They will explain things and support you. So, even if you are not familiar with fishing, it is really nice to give it a try. There is a nice playground for kids and a children’s farm with llamas, horses and rabbits. A cosy day out for the entire family.

Rafting for the entire family
For real adventurers a rafting tour on the Salzach. For children from 8 years old, with swimming diploma. An introduction tour of approx. 3 hours incl. equipment and certificate for Euro 29 per person. You should really experience this once! Rafting on the Salzach river

Segway on tour
Experience the ultimate feeling and enjoy a tour on a Segway through the mountains. A special experience for both young and old. Various tours are possible.
